To understand the change of future goods transportation in China, especially multi-modal transportation, generate strategic product and business recommendation.
Tasks of the Project
Collect and summarize national policies and initiations (include. pilot project) on goods transportation change strategies through desktop research and expert interview.
Understand and compare the Chinese vs. EU/US transportation difference and respective future development trend.
Understand and evaluate technical and operating details of the multi-model transportation, summarize its opportunity and challenges in realization.

2.Mechanical Engineer Truck Chassis Development/卡车底盘开发机械工程师

Objective of job:
Our R&D Chassis-Team in China is responsible for the development and localization of chassis and powertrain components for the local production of Heavy-Duty Trucks. You will be work in an international work environment and support all relevant activities for the localization of frame, frame attached parts and steering system. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team of Global R&D, Procurement, Cost- and Supplier Quality Engineering to support the development, supplier awarding and parts validation with the focus on Fuel Tanks and AdBlue Tanks.
Task Description:
• Coordinate the necessary activities between our R&D Chassis-Team in China and the respective stakeholders to achieve a successful and sustaining localization of frame, frame attached parts and steering system
• Specification: derive specifications for Frame-System, Frame Attachments (Rear fender, Battery carrier, Catwalk) Fuel- and AdBlue-Tank, Steering System and Superstructure parts (Fifth Wheel, Mounting plate, Underride protection) from overall project specifications
• Design: initiate and induce agreement between all involved departments on new components or necessary adjustments of existing components. Carry out / coordinate the necessary design- and development-activities considering function, durability, safety, homologation and legal requirements of local applications and Daimler Truck network requirements globally
• Documentation: coordinate and track documentation activities according to project milestones and deadlines
• Awarding: coordinate sourcing activities for above-mentioned parts between all involved stakeholders and according to project milestones
• Validation: create and induce agreement between all involved departments on validation plans according specified boundary conditions and maturity level; assess testing results, issue root-cause analysis and elaborate counter measures

Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor degree or any above Major in Mechanical, Automotive or equivalent engineering subject
Experience
• Several years of experience in the automotive industry, understanding of engineering theory and principles of design as Engineer in Design or Testing (functional, durability,…), ideally with Heavy Duty Truck Chassis (Fuel- and AdBlue-tanks, frame, frame attached parts, tanks, steering system)
• Good understanding of main production technologies, such as plastic molding, sheet metal forming and welding
• Good knowledge and skills in CAx/DMU systems (e.g. NX, Engineering Client, Teamcenter Visualization etc.)

3.Emission homologation/卡车排放认证

Objective:
Daimler Truck China is committed to providing the best Daimler products to the Chinese market, no matter they are imported or locally produced. Engine/powertrain is one of the key components and technologies involved. Therefore, regulation, homologation and compliance are of great importance, especially for emission and fuel consumption requirements.

This position requires comprehensive experience and sophisticated understanding of the Chinese regulation & certification environment and dynamics in the fields of heavy duty emission and fuel consumption. Person for this position is expected to lead the homologation strategy-making for both imported and localized products. As the liaison between Germany and operational business units in China to coordinate regulation & homologation activities, including change management, in order to ensure correct and consistent information flow and compliance fulfilment. Meanwhile in China this position aligns between local operational entities to consolidate synergies and avoid conflicts, and also manage tasks from an overall corporate point of view and provide/guide all stakeholders to meet regulatory requirements.
Task description:
•Actively participate in national regulation developing work groups to closely monitor drafting status and lobby (with internal stakeholder teams) with the Daimler positions.
•Deliver latest regulatory content, explain authority’s intention, analyze impacts with related teams and collect feedbacks in a timely and appropriate manner.
•Responsible for interpretation of regulatory requirements, translate from authority management language into technical language, in order to ensure implementation in a correct and compliant way.
•Take the lead in making corporate level China homologation strategy, taking into consideration global homologation strategy and China specific circumstances. Align with operational teams to reach consensus on requirements understanding, guide them to define  operational planning and as a mediator avoid conflicts with each other.
•Organize homologation side of change management evaluations for China. Work with Germany/China homologation teams and engineering teams to evaluate impacts of change request and determine homologation relevance or not, jointly. Follow up on implementations in line with homologation schedule.
•Collect, verify and co-determine (if necessary) data & documents for homologation.
•Supervise homologation activities and ensure compliance
Qualifications:
•Bachelor or Master Degree for Automotive Engineering, ICE Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering background.
•Minimum of 7 years experience in engine or automotive industry.
•Minimum of 5 years experience in engine/emissions homologation/testing/compliance/RD or relevant fields, in terms of homologation planning, application to authorities, testing in labs, obtaining certificate and ensuring compliance.
•General knowledge about trucks, engines and aftertreatment system (ATS) technology.
•Basic knowledge about central & local level authority structures for emission and fuel consumption in China, such as MEE, MIIT, MOT, VECC, Beijing EEB, etc. Good relation with key test labs.
•Very good English language skills in speaking, reading and writing, in order to facilitate communication with international teams on daily basis.
•Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Excellent capability of coordinating projects and aligning teams.

5.PE Testing-Vehicle Testing Engineer 车辆测试工程师

Objective:
This position will work as a member of R&D Testing Team, supporting heavy-duty trucks testing mainly in the fields of NVH and PEMS (vehicle emission) tests.
The primary objective of this role is to be responsible for entire-vehicle testing activities, working closely with the design engineers to ensure resolution and successful validation in accordance with test plans and test procedures. Besides to integrate test results to internal engineering and other project teams for successful validation of Daimler and homologation requirements. 
Task Description:
• Functional testing of mechatronic systems (braking-, steering-, driving-, camera-based) and HMI accordingly from customer point of view after every software release, validation of maturity level, adjustment of software parameters to optimize features
• Collection and analysis of measurement data of use cases for mechatronic systems, malfunctions and complaints with appropriate tools, working on optimizations together with feature responsible
• Set up customer field testing, collecting and working on customer feedbacks and measurement data
• Alignment of test methodology, acceptance criteria and use cases for global released applications with testing in Germany and feature responsible for global features, exchange of test results
• Definition of new test procedures, acceptance criteria and use cases for China specific applications
